Mary and Martha Class to Return Sunday, March 23, 2008  --

Beginning Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, the Mary and Martha class will resume.  The Christian Education Ministry believes that we have accomplished a great deal in our new Adult Sunday School Class.  However, we recognize that we are not meeting all the needs of our people.  Therefore, we are planning to start up the Mary & Martha class.  We are in the process of getting the materials and finding teachers.  The Mary & Martha class will meet at 9:10 a.m. in the upstairs Sunday School room in a private area separated from the main class.  To start off, the group will be using the Augsburg Fortress Curriculum, "God's Call to the Christian Community."  Upon completion of these materials, the group will decide together what to study  next.  If you were previously a member of this class or new to our Adult Sunday School, then feel free to stop in and join this class.

Covenant Groups  --

Special  thanks to Barbara and Doug Gardenour and Jamie and John keiffer for opening their homes for the covenant groups.  They tell me that they have two strong groups and that the small group experience has been very uplifting.  They groups are using a book called "Beginnings."  It is from Serendipity House and gently invited people into Bible study.  They will be using this book for the next six weeks.  Hey, what if you want to give Covenant groups a try? Well just give the Gardenhour's or the Keiffer's a call.

Softball --

Yes, Spring is just around the corner and that means we'll be getting organized for our second season of co-ed softball in the Fundamental Church League that plays on Friday evening at Halfway Park.  We had a great time last year and certainly enjoyed the fun, fellowship and chance to get some exercise each week.  We even won a few games!  We need lots of players on our roster to always have enough players over the busy summer for each game.  If you're interested or need more information, please let Sandy Johnson know by calling her at 717-762-7310 or email her at beach4sandy@comcast.net.  We'll have a few practices in late March/early April before the games start.

Lion King --

We have an opportunity to see the fabulous Disney's "The Lion King" production at the Kennedy Center.  We've purchased group tickets for the Saturday matinee on August 9 at 1:30 pm.  We'll carpool down or you can go on your own.  Tickets are in the first tier at $95.00 each.  To reserve your tickets, please contact Sandy Johnson at 717-762-7310 or email beach4sandy@comcast.net.  Payment is due 5/31/08.  Treat yourself to the Kennedy Center and this wonderful production!
